These drawings are contained within a small 5x7-inch sketchbook with cork covers. Susan began the sketchbook in 1999, but clearly put it away and picked it up again many times, as the sketches span 9 years and multiple geographies. Included are drawings of the landscape near Port Austin, Michigan; her son Joe at two or three years old; New Mexico landscapes; self-portraits and portraits; street scenes of Greenfield, Massachusetts; as well as some of her last drawings. It is my intention to keep the sketchbook intact.
